Week of April 19th, 2021
Artist’s Notes: When I took Sparks, I wanted to capture a feeling of youthfulness, reminiscent of fourth of July pool parties, watermelon, and of course, sparklers. I focused on contrast, through the use of space, and colors. I washed out the subject and focused the color on the sparkler. I hope that when the viewer looks at the piece, they remember the effervescence of childhood.
